Delaney says Leeds are hungry for more

Leeds forward Brett Delaney is looking for his second Super League title as the Rhinos gear up to face Wigan in the play-off semi-finals tonight.

Delaney, 26, was part of last October’s triumphant Grand Final winning team, and was also part of the World Club Challenge success earlier this year.

Since the Rhinos won their first Super League title back in 2004, they have missed just two Grand Finals, and have won four of the last five.

Winners rings are common place in the dressing room for Leeds, with prop Jamie Peacock boasting seven titles, including three from his time at Bradford.

Delaney told the club’s official website: “There are guys here who have won five Grand Finals and JP has won seven, which is unbelievable. It was great winning it last year but that only drives me on to win more. Once you have experienced that you want it again and again and that goes for all the boys. 

“Wigan are a quality side and we face a tough test over there on Friday but we know what is on the line.”

Delaney, who joined the Rhinos ahead of the 2010 season, previously played in the NRL with Parramatta and Gold Coast, and has scored 19 tries in 89 appearances for Leeds.
