Doncaster head coach Tony Miller has pinpointed Wakefield pairing Lucas Walshaw and Danny Cowling as possible additions to his squad.

Miller identified the duo along with there being the possibility of another two players from the Wildcats making their way to the Keepmoat Stadium

Doncaster’s head coach aims to strengthen his squad for next seasons Championship campaign but insisted that he does not want a shed load of new players coming through the door over the winter.

He said, “The club have 22 players on board, the working relationship we have with Wakefield Trinity Wildcats is superb and it gives us the option of another four players.

“I’ve spoken to Richard Agar and there is a good chance that we are getting back row Lucas Walshaw and centre Danny Cowling as well as two others.

“I want continuity, momentum and consistency within the squad. I am not prepared to have more than four players from a bigger club. It’s not fair on the current squad otherwise.

“They would be quality acquisitions and I’d be delighted for them to play at Doncaster if we can get them.”

The south Yorkshire side have already begun adding to their squad, signing former Hunslet Hawk Dennis Tuffour on Friday last week.
