Broncos take pair on trial
London have taken John O’Donnell and Alex Hurst on trial with the view to earning full time deals.
Centre or full-back Hurst, 21, joins the Broncos from Swinton Lions having impressed for Scotland in the recent Alitalia Cup competition.
Former Wigan youngster O’Donnell played for Ireland in the same competition, and also plays at centre.
Head Coach Tony Rea said: “We’ve welcomed the two players to the club for pre-season training. They are here for a month for us to take a look at them.
“If their efforts warrant a position then we’ll extend it. We’ll make a decision this month whether they are here for the season or not.”
Hurst scored three times in eight appearances for Swinton in 2012, while O’Donnell played for the Wigan academy, which he joined from amateurs Wigan St Pats in January 2009.
