London secure second Super League loan signing
London Broncos have added Wigan centre Chris Hankinson and Salford utility back Ed Chamberlain to their squad for the 2021 Championship season.
The pair make the move to the capital on season-long loan deals, with Chamberlain having signed a new deal at the AJ Bell Stadium.
Hankinson, 27, has made 20 appearances for the Warriors since moving from Swinton.
He said: “It’s an exciting opportunity to go and play for the Broncos, it will be the first time I’ve left my home town and experience something new.
“I’m looking forward to moving down to the capital, meeting the lads and getting stuck in. It’s going to be a big year for the club and I will do everything I can to help them get back into Super League.”
Broncos head coach Danny Ward added of his new recruit: “He’s a quality centre but can also play anywhere in the backs, giving us plenty of options and competition for places.
“I’ve heard plenty of good things about him, he’s really keen to come to London and we are looking forward to working with him.”
Meanwhile, Chamberlain returns to the capital for a second spell – having made a solitary appearance, against York, in a loan spell at the start of the year, before the coronavirus outbreak.
