Steve Dooler exits Hunslet

Hunslet veteran Steve Dooler is retiring from semi-professional rugby league to take up a player-coach role at Sharlston Rovers.

Dooler, who previously played for Featherstone, joined the Hawks in 2009, but has been hit by a number of injuries over the last two years, and seen his work commitments increase.

Director of Rugby Darren Williams said: “Steve has been a great servant to the club since joining from Featherstone, he is likely to accept a player-coach role at Sharlston Rovers and we wish him the best of luck as he embarks on a coaching career, which is an avenue he has been interested in for a while.”
