Warrington forward Jason Clark says he is more than willing to pass on his experience to the club’s exciting crop of youngsters, reports Warrington Guardian.
Clark told Warrington Guardian: “Being an older player in the team now, I’d like to think there’s plenty of experience I could share.”
Academic Briscoe
Studious Tom Briscoe aiming to become Leeds’ flying doctor on the wing, reports the Mirror.
Briscoe is about to start a doctorate in Sports Performance and Physiology, and hopes to become Super League’s first playing doctor. Briscoe told the Mirror: “I’d love to be able able to do that.”
Wigan youngster linked with loan
Young Wigan hooker Amir Bourouh has been linked with a loan move to Championship side Halifax, reports League Express.
The 20-year-old is set to spend time on loan with Fax during 2021, according to League Express.
Smithies praise for Bateman
Morgan Smithies is looking forward to playing alongside Wigan team-mate John Bateman, reports Wigan Today.
Smithies told Wigan Today: “When I was at Wigan at 14 or 15, he was one of the players I watched and looked up to.”
Hodgson’s food for thought
Hull coach Brett Hodgson given food for thought as he anticipates selection headache, reports Hull Live.
Hodgson told Hull Live: “Every coach wants to have that headache in terms of depth of who you’re going to pick for that round one game.”

Huddersfield coach Ian Watson is pleased to add “lightning quick” full-back Olly Ashall-Bott, reports The Yorkshire Post.
Watson told The Yorkshire Post: “He is lightning; he’s unbelievably quick.”
