Catalan scrum half Scott Dureau is set to return to action in this weekend’s game against London at the Magic Weekend.

Dureau, 26, hasn’t played this year as he recovers from surgery he had on a tumour in the close season.

He has now been given the green light to resume playing by Dr Lubrano from the neurological surgery department at Toulouse hospital.

Dureau said: “I’m very happy, it’s obviously a really good news, I was waiting for that decision for long time.

“The last five months since the surgery have been very long. I can’t wait to be back on the field with my team mates.”

The Dragons open the Magic Weekend against the Broncos at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, and Dureau is likely to go straight in to the squad.

Coach Laurent Frayssinous said: “This is great news for Scott. He went through some very difficult times and he worked hard to come back as soon as possible, he deserves this quick return.”
