Premier Sports Performance of the Week – Doncaster

Doncaster gave their Kingstone Press Championship play-off hopes a significant boost by winning 26-12 at fifth-placed Batley Bulldogs.

Tony Miller’s team also put further distance between themselves and the relegation places following an accomplished display.

Miller said: “I thought we dominated most of the game – it was a very good win for us.

“It was a game that we weren’t expected to win, but I always thought we had a real good chance of winning.

“We won at Featherstone recently as well, so we’ve definitely got it in us to beat the best teams.”

Premier Sports Try of the Week – Jordan Davies (Barrow Raiders)

Barrow Raiders’ recent loan signing from Salford City Reds, Jordan Davies, made an immediate impact on his Craven Park debut.

Davies scored two tries in the thrilling 28-26 win over Hunslet Hawks, the second of them an outstanding effort.

The former Sale RU player showed strength and pace on the half hour mark.

Raiders teammates Dan Toal and Kurt Haggerty set the platform with some excellent build-up work, and Davies then burst through a tackle to finish the try.
