Waiting over for Sinfield
Leeds captain Kevin Sinfield will return to action against Wakefield tonight after five weeks out.
Sinfield, 32, who dislocated and fractured his thumb while playing for England in International Origin 2013, had previously been on a run of 97 consecutive appearances.
Injury rarely affects the Rhinos playmaker but his coach Brian McDermott still feels he will need time to bed back in the side after his absence.
McDermott said, “We are waiting for Kev to come back and everybody’s expecting miracles when he does.
“We have to be careful we don’t heap too much pressure on him. The fellas have been in good nick and performing really well most weeks.
“Kev will add a dimension to our game and he’ll certainly add control and a bit of composure that we’ve probably lacked.
“It’s certainly a boost, but at the same time he has been out for a few weeks and it’s his first game back.”
