Singleton: We’ve got a team of leaders
Young Leeds forward Brad Singleton thinks that his side’s experience could see them go all the way in Super League for the third successive year.
Singleton, 20, has already played for three other clubs during his short career with spells at Dewsbury, Hunslet and Wakefield to his name.
The prop has been given a chance at the Rhinos this season due to injury problems, and he has been delighted with his progress.
“I am pleased with the faith Brian has put in me and, hopefully, I have repaid that with good performances,” Singleton told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
“I’ve got my chance and hopefully I’ve taken the opportunity. I am quite pleased with how it has gone and I’m learning all the time.
“We’ve got a real team of leaders – people like JP [Jamie Peacock], Kylie [Leuluai] and Abbo [Carl Ablett].
“They are great people to learn off and the forwards are going really well. They’ve been racking up plenty of carries and plenty of tackles and I think it’s going to be a good run-in.
“Over the next eight week’s we’ve just got to take each game as it comes, win every game and hopefully go all the way.”
Singleton has made 11 appearances so far in 2013, scoring one try.
