Warrington utility Simon Grix has withdrawn from the Ireland World Cup squad.
Grix, 28, is believed to have been struggling with a number of injuries, and has been replaced in the squad by Belfast-born Matty Hadden.
The Oxford prop has two caps for Ireland, having made his debut in last season’s win over Scotland.
Ireland begin their World Cup campaign against Fiji in Rochdale on Monday.
Scotland take on Ireland in Gateshead on Sunday afternoon.
