Super League preview: St Helens v Hull FC

test

With both sides winning their opening Super League fixtures, St Helens and Hull have named unchanged squads.

Saints will be looking for another assured performance from new half-back Luke Walsh, after he was key in their win over Warrington.

Meanwhile Airlie Birds head coach Lee Radford will be hoping for defensive improvements after conceding 34 points against Catalan.

This fixture is the first between the two clubs since the death of Steve Prescott, who represented both teams during his playing career.

The Steve Prescott Cup, which will be awarded annually, will go to whoever has the highest aggregate score from the two regular-season games between the sides.

“You can’t hide from what Steve Prescott’s done,” said Saints head coach Nathan Brown.

“He was a remarkable person to achieve what he did under the circumstances, and we hope Friday’s a great night in memory of him.”
