Liam Farrell v Sonny Bill Williams

As with every Wigan player, Farrell will have to be on top of his game physically and mentally. Not only is he facing SBW, the 2013 RLIF Player of the Year, Farrell is also the leader of the Warriors pack now that Lee Mossop and Harrison Hansen have left the club.

Josh Charnley v Shaun Kenny-Dowall

With Roger Tuivasa-Sheck injured the Roosters will turn to fellow Kiwi SKD. Charnley could potentially be the fastest man on the pitch, but the ever reliable Kenny-Dowall is also capable of being a match winner. Just ask 2013 Grand Final opponents Manly, who he played and scored against with a fractured jaw.

The halves

Blake Green and Matty Smith produced time and time again in big games for Wigan last year, and it is a must that they do the same on Saturday. Mitchell Pearce looked sharp in the Auckland Nines, and although his partnership with James Maloney has come in for criticism when on New South Wales duty, at club level the duo are two of the best in the NRL.
