Frayssinous delighted to extend Dragons stay
Laurent Frayssinous has signed a new two-year contract at the Catalan Dragons.
The former French international retired from playing in 2007, and has been part of the coaching staff in Perpignan ever since.
He became the first French coach of the Catalan outfit when he took over from Trent Robinson in 2013.
Frayssinous is also looking forward to helping deveop more homegrown French talent at the club.
“I’m delighted to have extended my stay with the club and honored to have the support and the confidence of the board,” he said.
“I’m really looking forward to growing and developing the club who is going in the right direction.
“We have some very exciting prospects in the squad and the launch of our Academy team is an excellent opportunity for our junior products who are coming through and I’m excited to work with them in the next two seasons.”
Catalan chairman Bernard Guasch added : “I’m really happy to keep Laurent at the club for the next two seasons.
“He always had our support during the last two seasons and, with the experience he gained, I’m sure he will continue to build and develop the team.”
Sébastien Raguin will also stay on as football manager at the Dragons. The former France and Dragons star joined the staff at his old club at the end of the 2012 season.
“I’m delighted to stay here and I would like to thank the club for his support,” said Raguin.
“I’m now looking forward to continue helping the club to develop and improve.”
