Catalans Dragons assistant coach Jérôme Guisset has signed a new two-year contract at the French club.

“I’m delighted to continue working with Laurent for the next two seasons and to stay in that club who is going in the right direction,” said Guisset.

“I’m really excited to extend my contract with the club and I’m looking forward to the next couple of years.
The former international prop hung up his boots at the end of the 2010 to join the coaching staff after 269 Super League games and 33 tries with Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves and Catalans Dragons.

He will remain Laurent Frayssinous assistant until the end of the 2016 season.

Catalans Dragons headcoach Laurent Frayssinous added: “I’m really happy to keep Jérôme in the staff for the next two seasons.

“It was one of my conditions during the discussions with the Catalans Dragons board for my contract extension.”
