New Rams deal for Beckett

Dewsbury have handed a new deal to former Warrington academy centre Callan Beckett.

Beckett, 21, joined the Rams ahead of the 2013 season and has made 19 appearances for the club since, having his 2014 campaign cut short by injury.

Coach Glenn Morrison said: “I’m really glad to be able to tie up Callan for next season.

“Cal joined us last year from Warrington and 2013 was always going to be a season of building for him.

“He was in and out of the squad but following a really strong off-season he’s really kicked on and was a starting player up until picking up his injury.

“And I expect him to kick on again in 2015.”

Beckett was on Warrington’s books for three years having joined from local amateur club Bold Miners.
