Ben Jones-Bishop excited to play alongside brother Aaron for Jamaica at World Cup
Ben Jones-Bishop is looking forward to lining up alongside his brother Aaron again when representing Jamaica at the World Cup.
The 32-year-old winger, who has joined Championship club York for 2021, made his Jamaica debut in a World Cup qualifier in 2018 where he played alongside brother Aaron for the very first time.
It will be a proud moment for the Jones-Bishop family this autumn if the pair are selected to represent their Jamaican heritage in the World Cup.
Ben said: “I got to play alongside my brother for the first time when we played in the qualifiers.
“He’s 18 months younger than me and we’ve never crossed paths in the game so it was great for my family to see, hopefully that can continue come the World Cup.”

Jamaica have been drawn in a group with New Zealand, Lebanon and Ireland – two of their group games being staged at Headingley and the other at Leigh Sports Village.
But first and foremost, Ben is focused on having a strong year with York to make sure he makes selection for the Jamaican squad.
He added: “The World Cup is looking good (to go ahead) so far with all the positive news from the Government.
“I’m excited to play in that and the squad is coming together but obviously what I do this year with York will dictate whether I get into that squad.
“There is competition for places in the backs but the occasion and there are two big games at Headingley which is something that I would like to be involved in.”
