Lloyd and Lever join Swinton on loan from Wigan
Wigan have confirmed that back rowers Rhodri Lloyd and Rob Lever have joined Swinton Lions on loan.
Lloyd has signed a one-month loan deal, while Lever will be with the Lions until the end of the current campaign.
“Rhodri and Rob have had good pre-seasons for us and have worked very hard,” said Wigan coach Shaun Wane.
“With the competition for places I have in the pack at the moment I’ve not been able to give them the time out on the field that they require at this stage so it’s a good move all round.
“We have a great relationship with Swinton with several contacts there so it makes sense for everyone that both Rhodri and Rob head over there to get some game time and experience.”
Lions’ coach John Duffyis delighted to have secured the services of two quality young players.
“Through links with Jordan James and Tommy Gallagher we already have a great relationship with Wigan,” he said.
“Rhodri is a terrific professional and has all the good habits that they instil over at the Warriors.
“He will add size, strength and Super League experience to our squad, and I would like to thank everyone at Wigan for being so co-operative and allowing the loan deal to happen.”
