Aston eyeing more Sheffield signings

Sheffield Eagles coach Mark Aston has revealed that his club are looking for more reinforcements, after Dave Petersen joined the club on loan this week.

Aston wants to make sure his squad is as strong as possible as the lead-in to the Super Eights gathers pace.

“We are looking still without a shadow of a doubt and if we can strengthen then we will,” Aston told the Sheffield Star.

“There is nothing really to speak about at this moment in time, but we are talking to people.

“It is unlikely that anything will happen before Friday, but there is certainly potential for more business to be done over the next couple of weeks.”
