Marshall excited to add Sharp to Halifax ranks
Halifax coach Richard Marshall is delighted that Will Sharp has signed for his club from Featherstone Rovers for the 2016 season.
The winger is Marshall’s first recruit for next season, and the coach is looking forward to working with the 29-year-old threequarter, who has inked a one-year deal at The Shay.
“We’re really excited to get Will on board for 2016,” Marshall told his club’s official website.
“He’s a player who I’ve admired for a number of years and in my eyes is Super League quality.
“He’s had a really good year at Featherstone and when we were alerted of his availability, we didn’t hold back.”
Featherstone, meanwhile, are disappointed to be losing such an experienced player from their squad.
“He’s a very committed player who will give his all week in week out,” said Rovers chairman Mark Campbell.
“He plays the game with a smile on his face and is a great bloke to have around the dressing room. We’d like to wish Will all the best at Halifax, and thank him for his services to Featherstone Rovers.”
