Hall hails RFL’s choice of venue

Leeds winger Ryan Hall thinks that the decision for England to play the second Test against New Zealand in London was an inspired move by the RFL.

After England beat the Kiwis in Hull on Sunday, Hall believes that some momentum has been generated going into the second game at the Olympic Park Stadium.

Hall hopes that many of the crowd will be people who are unfamiliar with rugby league, who will stick with the sport in the future.

“It’s a brilliant initiative by the Rugby League to go to the Olympic Stadium and spread the word,” he told the Daily Star.

“If we can keep putting the name of rugby league out there in a good light, all the better.

“It’s great that a lot of people from London are coming to the game because they don’t get to see many live games.

“If we can put on a spectacle that will be great. If we can seal the Series by going 2-0 up that will be even better.”

More than 40,000 tickets have been sold for the game so far, with more than half of those being bought by people based in the South of England.
