Wane not worried about England

Wigan coach Shaun Wane says becoming an assistant coach to England with Wayne Bennett has not even crossed his mind.

Bennett is expected to appoint a Super League-based support staff and Wane has been mentioned as a candidate.

Brian McDermott and Daryl Powell are other names that have been thrown up to assist Bennett.

“I’ve honestly not thought about it,” Wane told Wigan Today.

“All my focus has been on reviewing the Catalans game and preparing the players for Friday night (against Huddersfield).

“Nothing to do with England has even crossed my mind.”
