Powell hails Solomona and Dorn

Daryl Powell has praised the three try-haul of Denny Solomona and Luke Dorn in yesterday’s 40-6 win over Wakefield.

Solomona bagged two tries while Dorn scored one and set up three others.

Powell said the Australian fullback looked sharp.

“Dorny’s timing and skill around the back of some of our plays was high quality,” he said.

“Some of his decision-making was great, too, and collectively we’re a pretty strong team. There was some great individual performances in there.”

Powell also hailed the finishing skills of winger Solomona.

“Denny Solomona’s finish for his second was just world class,” he said.

“I just don’t know how he got that down – but I’ve said that before. There weres some really pleasing signs from us but I think there’s plenty still to come from us as well.”
