Lovegrove makes Bulls loan move permanent

Bradford Bulls have announed the permanent signing of Rhys Lovegrove after an impressive loan spell with the club. 

The Scotland international had been on a one month loan spell at The Provident Stadium with the Bulls, but has now put pen-to-paper on a two year deal with the Championship side. 

The 28 year-old has already expressed his delight at extending his stay with the former Super League champions.

“It’s great to be a Bulls player now,” Lovegrove told Bradford’s official website.

“I’ve had the opportunity over the last few weeks to get some minutes under my belt. I’ve tried to do the job that Jimmy wanted me to do and I think I’ve done it well. 

“It is a big squad and an established team and I’ve had to fight my way into the side to show what I can do. Now I’ve been given a contract I hope I can improve and help the team even more, and hopefully we can keep getting results throughout the year.”

Lovegrove’s new head coach, James Lowes, has spoke about his happiness of the Lovegrove signing which adds further depth to his Bulls squad.

“Rhys adds to the battle for places amongst the squad and brings a lot of experience to the pack,” Lowes said.

“He’s impressed in the games he’s played and I’m pleased to have him on board.”
