NRL investigating potential match-fixing
The NRL have confirmed they are currently investigating allegations regarding potential match-fixing in the NRL last year.
The revelations have been told by the Daily Telegraph in Australia, who say that the Organised Crime Squad is looking at least two games from the 2015 season.
These games are believed to be Manly v South Sydney and Manly v Parramatta, games in which the Sea Eagles were beaten 20-8 and 20-16 respectively.
“The Organised Crime Squad is in the early stages of examining information to alleged match fixing in the NRL,” a police spokeswoman confirmed to the Daily Telegraph.
“No further comment is appropriate at this stage.”
