Jordan Baldwinson signs for Bradford from York

Bradford have signed prop Jordan Baldwinson from Championship rivals York on a two-year deal.

The 26-year-old is back at the Bulls for a third spell, having spent time on loan at the club in 2014 and 2021.

Jordan Baldwinson came through the Leeds ranks before going on to enjoy time with New Zealand Warriors, Featherstone, Wakefield and York.

On his move to Bradford, Baldwinson said: “I am absolutely buzzing to be back on a permanent basis. I have done two spells now so I am glad to be back for a third time. I have been itching to come back to the club since enjoying time here when I was 19.

“It is quite exciting for me, it’s a huge honour to come to a club as big as Bradford. I am looking forward to ripping in and having a good two years.

“I know Mark Dunning really well and speaking with him and John (Kear) about their plans I’m really excited. They have big aspirations to push for Super League. Despite the disappointment at the weekend, you can see the trajectory of the club is on the up.

“I want to be involved in those games at the top of the table. Fighting in and amongst the play-off positions. That is what I want to be about and I want to bring some value to a really strong Bradford squad and help push us a bit further.

“I was really happy when I heard I was coming back on loan this year. I was so surprised by how welcoming the boys and the fans were. I got a good vibe about the club and I came away thinking that is a club I would love to come to.

“Then speaking to the likes of Jordan Lilley who I’ve known for a while swayed my decision. So I am looking forward to getting in and ripping into training.”

Baldwinson has made more than 130 career appearances.
