Patrick Mago impressed with Wigan duo
New Wigan recruit Patrick Mago says he has been really impressed with front-row pair Kaide Ellis and Brad Singleton in pre-season training. (Manchester Evening News)
He told Manchester Evening News: “In pre-season training, the boys have been going really hard and the players who are really impressing me right now are Kaide Ellis and Brad Singleton. Those two have been absolutely killing it in training and, as they play in my position in the front-row, I’m trying to learn as much as I can from them.”
Morgan Knowles on NRL and long-term Saints deal
England international Morgan Knowles admitted he did contemplate a move to the NRL before committing his long-term future to Super League champions St Helens. (St Helens Star)
He told St Helens Star: “You know you have those conversations (about the NRL) and that is something that I contemplated but what we’ve got here I feel really lucky and privileged to be a part of; this team and this group and I want more success with this group of lads.”

Danny Levi targets Huddersfield success
Huddersfield’s new signing Danny Levi is eyeing success with the Giants.
He told the club’s website: “I wanted to play at the top level, I have the opportunity to come over here and Ian Watson saw a lot in me so that’s given me a lot of confidence. I just want to be a success here. I feel like I’ve got a lot of experience in the NRL so hopefully I’ll try and bring that over here, share it and do well.”
Leeds welcome new arrival
Tonga international David Fusitu’a has landed in England following his move to Leeds.
The 27-year-old winger has penned a two-year deal with the Rhinos. He has made more than 100 appearances in the NRL for New Zealand Warriors.

Dolphins linked with English back
The Dolphins, the NRL’s newest club, are being linked with a move for Brisbane Broncos centre Herbie Farnworth. (The Mole, Wide World of Sports)
The 21-year-old Englishman has made more than 40 appearances for the Broncos since making his first team debut in 2019. The Lancashire-born back was also on the books at Manchester United as a youngster.

The Burgess brothers – Sam, Luke, George and Tom – made history in Round 25 of the 2013 NRL season. They became the first quartet of brothers to play a match for the same club since the Norman brothers – Ray, Roy, Rex and Bernard – played for Annandale in 1910.
