Super League confirm new French TV deal for 2022
Super League have confirmed that a new French TV deal has been agreed, which will show nine of the 13 Catalans Dragons home matches in 2022.
Super League has reached a broadcast agreement with the French premium sports network beIN SPORTS to cover this season’s competition.
The deal will see beIN SPORTS show nine of the 13 Catalans Dragons home fixtures.
The broadcaster will also show a number of UK-based Super League games as well as the play-offs and Grand Final. As a result, the Dragons’ season opener against champions St Helens at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Thursday, February 10, will be broadcast live on beIN SPORTS.

Sky Sports will show Catalans’ first two home games of the campaign. Steve McNamara’s side take on Wakefield on Saturday, February 19 and then Wigan on Saturday, March 12.
Super League chairman Ken Davy said: “On the back of a fantastic 2021 season for Catalans Dragons it is great that we can reach an agreement that will see BeIN broadcast so many games from France.
“The fantastic scenes in Perpignan when the Dragons defeated Hull KR in the semi-final to make the 2021 Grand Final will live long in the memory.”
There will be more rugby league on our TV screens than ever before in 2022. Sky Sports and Channel 4 will show Super League matches, whilst the BBC will continue their coverage of the Challenge Cup. The BBC will also broadcast the World Cup this autumn.
Premier Sports are showing the Championship every Monday night this season. Our League and The Sportsman will also show rugby league on their respective platforms this year.
