Sunday Social: Impressive Channel 4 figures, Jansin Turgut returns to the field & Lock Lane versus Fuifui Moimoi
A round up of all the news happening on social media over the weekend, including impressive figures from Channel 4 and their Super League coverage!
Impressive Channel 4 figures
Channel 4 and their opening Super League game between Leeds and Warrington received impressing viewing figures on Saturday afternoon.
This year marks the first time for Super League to be broadcast live on free-to-air television.
Next up, Adam Hills and the Channel 4 team head to Hull FC for their home clash with St Helens on Saturday, February 19.
Average of 531,000 across the 12pm-2:45pm slot yesterday for Super League on Channel 4. But the match average audience was even higher I'm told: 631,000. Highest EVER recorded audience for a live Super League match.
I'm told Channel 4 are delighted with the numbers. Great start!

Jansin Turgut returns
Former Hull and Salford forward returned to the field for the first time over the weekend.
Turgut hasn’t played for over two years after falling three stories from an Ibiza car park. He featured for West Hull over the weekend.
It’s been a journey.
From not knowing whether I’d survive, a month long coma and breaking multiple bones.
3 years later, with amazing support, plenty of tough times and a lot of unseen hard work, playing a Rugby League game again. I can’t even describe how amazing it feels!🏉🔰 pic.twitter.com/d5MnEL573g— J T (@jansinturgut) February 12, 2022
Fuifui Moimoi hit hard
Rugby league veteran Fuifui Moimoi might feel sore after this hit from Lock Lane’s Danny Maskill!
The two sides met in the Challenge Cup over the weekend, with Hornets coming out on top.
41-year-old Moimoi is in his second season with the club.
