Leeds captain Kruise Leeming on his favourite away ground & Ellery Hanley
Leeds captain Kruise Leeming is our latest guest on My Set of Six, where he talks about his favourite away ground and his favourite player Ellery Hanley.
We’re asking you, the fans, plus players, coaches and other rugby league personalities to give us their answers to our set of six questions.
This week, Leeds captain Kruise Leeming answered our six questions…
Favourite away ground?
Wigan. It just seems a bit of a theatre. The tune Sandstorm by Darude always comes on and I’ve always enjoyed playing there. I think I’ve got most of my man of the match awards playing there. I love that stadium, it is a bit of a gladiator-type arena to play at and I love playing there.
Favourite player?
Ellery Hanley. He was a similar build to me, similar attributes speed-wise.
Favourite memory?
It has to be lifting the Challenge Cup.
Worst memory?
When it came to the Boxing Day game after I signed here at Leeds. I had heard so much about the Boxing Day game and the South Stand, and I unfortunately did my knee and was out for six months without pulling on a Leeds jersey so that has got to be my worst memory.
Best match you’ve seen?
The best match I’ve seen was a Wigan-Saints derby and it wasn’t so long ago. It was a really physical game, it was at St Helens. It was one of the most physical games I’ve seen whilst I’ve been playing.
Your wish for the future of RL?
I want to win everything. I’ve won a Challenge Cup and now I want to win a World Cup, a Grand Final and a League Leaders’ Shield. I just want to win everything.
