Hull KR star suffers injury blow
Tony Smith’s Hull KR have suffered a blow ahead of their clash with Huddersfield after losing full-back Lachlan Coote to a hamstring issue. (Hull Live)
Coote was named in Smith’s 21-man squad to travel to the John Smith’s Stadium.
Albert Vete will also miss the next two games for Hull KR following his suspension.
Radio 1 presenter shares rugby league clip
Radio 1 presenter Greg James shared Warrington’s ball boy ahead of their clash with Castleford.
Whizzy Rascal stole the show pre-game with his entrance onto the field to deliver the match ball.
James currently hosts the Breakfast Show on Radio 1, and has 1.5 million Twitter followers.

Hull FC to pay tribute to Johnny Whiteley MBE
Hull FC have confirmed their plans to remember the life and career of Johnny Whiteley MBE ahead of their weekend’s game.
Whiteley passed away earlier this week, aged 91.
Brett Hodgson’s side host St Helens this Saturday, with the game covered live on Channel 4.

Gold Medal Paralympian joins West Wales
Gold Medal Paralympian David Smith will be working closely with West Wales Raiders and their Wheelchair side.
Smith made his Paralympic debut on the British boccia team that won the gold medal at the 2008 Summer Paralympics. He competed for Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Paralympics and did so winning Bronze in the Team BC1–2.

RFL provide clarity on high tackle punishments
The RFL’s chief on-field officer Dave Rotheram has provided some clarity to the punishments surrounding the high tackle at the start of the new season.
In a column on the RFL website, Rotherham said that there has been no specific directive to clamp down on any aspect.
12 players were charged with offences following the first round of Super League fixtures.
