In numbers: Super League round two attendances
Super League round two saw an average crowd of 8,511 between the six fixtures.
A total of 51,066 spectators supported their sides in round two of the competition.
Hull’s home clash with St Helens attracted the largest crowd with an official attendance of 12,673 on Saturday afternoon.
The tie was also the second edition of Super League on Channel 4, which saw an audience of more than half a million tuning in to the live coverage.
The average audience for Saturday’s live Channel 4 game between Hull FC and St Helens was 515,000.
It’s one minute peak throughout the 12.30pm kick-off was 624,000, building on the encouraging start of the coverage.
So in total, Hull versus St Helens was viewed by a total of 636,673 spectators.

Wigan attract second largest crowd
Despite the best efforts of Storm Eunice, Wigan’s clash with Leeds at the DW Stadium saw an attendance of 12,575 on Friday night.
Jai Field won the man of the match award for the second week running following Wigan’s impressive 34-12 victory over the Rhinos.

The third highest attendance of the weekend came in the opening game of round two as Warrington hosted Castleford at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Daryl Powell claimed the victory over his former side, with 8,468 in attendance.
Salford’s first Super League home game of 2022 saw 4,003 at the AJ Bell Stadium. Paul Rowley’s side claimed back-to-back wins with a 38-12 victory over Toulouse.
Rowley said he could not remember a game being played in such poor conditions.
Huddersfield attract more than 5,000 at John Smith’s Stadium
Huddersfield put on an exciting day for fans on Saturday as they played hosts to Hull KR.
With street food and entertainment, Huddersfield were rewarded with a crowd of 5,724 as they claimed a 26-14 win over the Robins.

Catalans’ first home game of 2022 saw a crowd of 7,623 as they came close with Wakefield with a 24-22 score.
So far, 109,239 fans have attended Super League fixtures in 2022.
