Watch: Drew gives Emma Jones his Super League round six predictions

Love Rugby League deputy editor Drew Darbyshire has given his predictions for Super League round five to presenter Emma Jones.

Wigan Warriors v Castleford Tigers – Wigan 10

Both teams are heading into this one on the back of defeats. The Warriors lost their first game under new coach Matt Peet last week with a 28-0 defeat at Catalans. They’ll be hoping to return to winning ways this week.

Castleford have endured a poor start under coach Lee Radford, winning just one of their first five games. The Tigers need the win more than Wigan, but I’m going for Peet’s men too edge it on home soil.

Salford Red Devils v Leeds Rhinos – Leeds by 10

Salford and Leeds both sit in the bottom end of the Super League table after five rounds.

The Red Devils won their first two games of the season but have lost their last three. Meanwhile, the Rhinos have won just one game.

It’s a big game for both sides, but I think Leeds will have just enough to get the two points.

Catalans Dragons v Hull Kingston Rovers – Catalans by 22

Catalans head into this one on the back of an impressive win over Wigan in Perpignan last week. Steve McNamara’s side have started this season in good form, winning four from five.

Hull KR sit seventh in the Super League table and won at Salford last week, but I can only see this going one way. Catalans win.

Warrington Wolves v Wakefield Trinity – Warrington by 14

Warrington will be hoping to bounce back after a poor performance at St Helens last Friday, whilst Wakefield claimed their first win of the season against Super League newcomers Toulouse.

The Wolves will be looking to put on a show in front of the Channel 4 cameras. I reckon they will come away with the spoils.

Toulouse Olympique v St Helens – St Helens by 32

This is a real David versus Goliath clash. The Super League champions, who have won every game in 2022, travel to Super League newbies Toulouse, who have yet to win a game.

Everyone loves the underdog but I can’t see them coming up trumps on this occasion. Saints will march on.

Hull FC v Huddersfield Giants – Huddersfield by 4

An interesting game on Sunday sees second-placed Huddersfield make the trip over to Hull, who had a strong win against Leeds last week.

I’ve really enjoyed watching the Giants this season and their spine is combing really well. I’ve tipped them to win narrowly this week.
