Halifax v Leigh: Krisnan Inu named for Centurions debut & Huddersfield duo start for Panthers
Krisnan Inu has been named to make his Leigh debut in their Monday night clash with Halifax live on Premier Sports.
Inu, 35, missed the club’s Challenge Cup victory over Bradford with a minor foot injury. He signed with the Centurions earlier in February for the remainder of the Championship campaign.
The experience centre or winger had been playing in the French Elite Championship for FC Lezignan XIII.
He has been named on the wing for Leigh to face Halifax in the Championship.
Speaking to Premier Sports ahead of his debut, Inu said: “It’s been awesome (at Leigh so far). I was fortune enough to play with some of the boys at the club before. They’ve made me feel welcomed and being an older head it’s been easy to adjust to a new environment.”
Krisnan Inu joined by James Bell in line up
St Helens forward James Bell has returned to his former club and has been named on the bench. He left the club following their relegation from Super League to join the champions. The forward is yet to make an appearance for Kristian Woolf’s side.
Bell will play on dual-registration.
John Asiata is set to make his 150th career appearance at The Shay.

Huddersfield duo named for Halifax
Huddersfield pair Nathan Mason and Jack Ashworth have been named by Halifax for the clash.
Mason, 28, spent two seasons with opposition side Leigh before returning back to the John Smith’s Stadium. The forward came through the Huddersfield academy set-up before making his debut in 2013.
Ashworth, 26, has also previously featured for Leigh on loan.
James Woodburn-Hall has been named to make his first appearance for the season.
Former Super League hooker Kyle Wood has been named on the bench. Louis Jouffret misses out. Ben Kavanagh and Jacob Fairbank are missing due to illness.
