Watch the tackle Huddersfield youngster Will Pryce received a 10-match ban for.

The 19-year-old was shown a red card for a horror tackle on Hull’s Connor Wynne on Sunday at the MKM Stadium.

He was charged with a Grade F earlier this week.

Pryce, son of former England and Great Britain international Leon, received a 10-match ban following his independent disciplinary tribunal hearing on Monday.

The talented Huddersfield full-back had previously been found guilty of a dangerous throw during an academy game against Bradford in May 2021.

The lengthy ban will see the youngster out of action for almost three months.

Including their sixth round Challenge Cup tie at Barrow this weekend, Pryce could return in June for their away clash at Hull KR.

Of course, that could change if Ian Watson’s side have a successful run in the cup.

Elsewhere

Kaide Ellis will serve his five-match ban after Wigan were unsuccessful in reducing the length of the suspension.

Ellis, 25, was handed the ban for throwing punches in the round five fixture in Perpignan. The forward had been charged with a Grade E offence and was handed his ban by the tribunal.

Ahead of the appeal, Wigan head coach Matt Peet spoke to the press about the decision.

He said: “We feel it was something that warrants further discussion. We understand what he did was unacceptable. But we feel that the length of the ban needs reconsideration.”
