Challenge Cup quarter-finals draw made
The draw for the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup has been made, with holders St Helens travelling to Perpignan to face Catalans Dragons.
The tie between St Helens and Catalans will be a repeat of the 2021 Super League Grand Final, which Saints won. The ties will be played on the weekend of April 8-10.
Challenge Cup holders St Helens marched on to the quarter-finals thanks to a 44-6 win over Whitehaven in front of a bumper crowd at the Recreation Ground. An impressive crowd of almost 5,000 saw the Super League champions travel up to Cumbria to take on Whitehaven.
Catalans Dragons survived a scare from Championship high-flyers Featherstone. The Rovers led 14-8 at one point thanks to a double from Joey Leilua, but the French side turned it around to clinch a 27-14 in Perpignan.
Catalans-St Helens is the standout tie of the quarter-final draw.
The Dragons have only lost one game this year, which came to St Helens in the opening round of the season. Meanwhile, Saints have not won in Perpignan since 2018, the year Catalans lifted the Challenge Cup at Wembley.
2019 Wembley winners Warrington or Wakefield will face Wigan in the quarters. The Warriors beat Salford 20-0 at the DW Stadium on Friday night.
Hull FC will travel to either Barrow or Huddersfield in the quarter-finals after a big 58-12 win over Sheffield Eagles in the sixth round.
