Eorl Crabtree: Huddersfield Giants can challenge for silverware
Eorl Crabtree believes Huddersfield have one of Super League’s best hookers, an animal in the pack and a half-back with the arrogance to go all the way.
Speaking to Love Rugby League, Big Eorl has picked out the key components of Huddersfield’s season so far, and insists coach Ian Watson has put together a team to challenge for silverware.
“The team they are putting together is really good,” Crabtree told Love Rugby League.
“Look at Luke Yates who is an animal, an unbelievable athlete.
“Another standout is Danny Levi. I knew nothing about him but now he is genuinely one of the best hookers I’ve seen in Super League.
“Unbelievably talented, smart around the ruck, tough, physical and he looks like he enjoys himself. “

Eorl Crabtree backs Will Pryce to come back stronger
Crabtree also believes star of the future Will Pryce will emerge stronger from his ten-match ban and has ridiculed anyone who thinks otherwise.
“Will Pryce I have a lot of time for. Poster boy and he can handle that, as he has that great air of arrogance you need to be an elite halfback,” Crabtree said.
“He’s an extra special athlete but it is all potential right now and that needs harnessing.
“Did he deserve the lengthy ban? Yes, it was dangerous so you cop the punishment. I heard people ask if he’ll lose interest because of the length of the ban.
“That’s one of the most ridiculous things I’ve heard. Don’t tell me he’s not hungry, this will make him hungrier. He’ll be a better player and a better person for this.”
Huddersfield take on Hull in the Challenge Cup quarter-finals on Saturday afternoon. Watson’s side are just two wins away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
