Super League stats: Jake Connor assists five more in win over Wigan
Hull full-back Jake Connor assisted five tries in the club’s 31-22 victory over Wigan on Saturday in the Super League.
Connor, 27, leads the way with the most assists in 2022 with 22 so far this campaign. He has also crossed for three tries and made 182 carries.
Huddersfield’s Tui Lolohea has the next best with 17 assists so far in 2022, with two tries and 185 carries. St Helens full-back Jack Welsby has 14 assists and five tries.
Tommy Makinson, Ken Sio and Jai Field have all scored 14 tries so far this season. Fouad Yaha, a new Catalans record breaker, has crossed for nine tries. Mitchell Pearce, Liam Farrell, Ryan Hall, Matty Ashton, Josh Charnley and Darnell McIntosh all have eight.

Danny Houghton edges near 500 tackles
Hull hooker Danny Houghton closes in on 500 tackles for the season so far – he currently has 496. The 33-year-old celebrated his 400th Hull appearances on Saturday.
Castleford skipper Paul McShane has completed 475 tackles so far this season, the second most in the season. Andy Ackers has made 274, Cameron Smith 451 and Luke Yates 448.
Ash Handley has made the most carries so far with 216. He has also made 1828 metres, an average gain over 8.46 per carry. Hull KR winger Hall has 215 carries, and Catalans’ Tom Davies has made 212.
Field has made the most clean breaks in 2022 with 20. The Wigan full-back also leads the way on the Man of Steel leaderboard. Makinson has made 17 clean breaks.
Toulouse winger Matty Russell continues to show his strength in Super League, making 64 tackle busts so far. Field has made 51, and Welsby 50.
Marc Sneyd has converted the most goals in 2022 – 36 for Salford in Super League. Gareth O’Brien has kicked 35, and Makinson 32.
Warrington centre Peter Mata’utia has produced the most offloads with 25. Both John Bateman and Agnatius Paasi have 21.
