Roberts linked with incident

Brisbane centre James Roberts is under investigation by the NRL after he was allegedly involved in an off-field incident at a pub.

It is alleged Roberts had an altercation with staff at a Brisbane pub while heavily intoxicated. An ambulence was called after he alledgely tangled with security but Roberts moved on to another bar.

Previously the centre has been sacked by the Panthers and Souths for off-field incidents.

 

The NRL Integrity Unit is looking into the incident.

“The Broncos have advised the integrity unit of an incident,” an NRL spokesperson said.

“As with normal protocol, the club will investigate and report back to the integrity unit.”
