Warrington’s Connor Wrench suffers season-ending ACL injury
Warrington Wolves centre Connor Wrench has suffered a season-ending ACL injury.
The 20-year-old left the field during the club’s recent 32-18 victory over Toulouse at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. He is set to undergo surgery next week and will be out of action for up to nine months.
He had crossed for a brace in the club’s much-needed win over the French outfit before limping off the field. The centre has made 13 Super League appearances in the current season, taking his total tally to 21.
Warrington shared: “Connor Wrench will undergo surgery on an ACL injury next week which will keep our youngster out of action for approximately nine months.
“We’re with you every step in your recovery, Wrenchy.”

Ratchford and Nicholson suffer knocks
Daryl Powell will also be without Stefan Ratchford and Matty Nicholson for the trip to Leeds on Friday night in Round 24. The pair sustained injuries in the same fixture against Toulouse.
Goal-kicking Ratchford misses out due to concussion protocols, while Nicholson left the field with a knock.
Meanwhile, forward Thomas Mikaele will also miss the clash at Headingley Stadium. He has not been included in Warrington’s 21-man squad.
Leeds are boosted by the return of trio Matt Prior, Aidan Sezer and Rhyse Martin to Rohan Smith’s 20-man squad. Ireland international James Bentley also returns, having missed last week’s win over Hull KR due to an ankle injury.
The game could see Blake Austin, Aidan Sezer and Richie Myler start only their second game together this season
