Eliminator results

Leeds finished the regular season in fifth spot which saw them travel to France to face Catalans in the eliminator play-offs. A hat-trick from Liam Sutcliffe inspired the Rhinos to victory over an ill-disciplined Dragons outfit.

Catalans boss Steve McNamara admitted after the defeat: “Leeds have been in better form than us. We just didn’t have enough reps on the field for fluency and accuracy to get the job done.

“Frustration got the better of our players and we didn’t handle the situation well enough. In the last 20 minutes we could have fought our way back into the game but our discipline let us down.”

Meanwhile on Saturday, Salford dominated their opposition in Huddersfield at the John Smith’s Stadium. The Red Devils crossed through Joe Burgess, Kallum Watkins, Ryan Brierley and Andy Ackers, while man of the match Marc Sneyd kicked six goals.
