Hakim Miloudi and six Dragons named in France B team to take on England Knights
Barrow Raiders star centre Hakim Miloudi has been named in France’s B team alongside six Catalans players ahead of their clash against England Knights.
Catalans’ Tiaki Chan, Mathieu Cozza, Romain Franco, Corentin Le Cam, Cesar Rouge and Bastien Scimone have all been included from the Super League outfit. Steve McNamara’s side were recently knocked out of the play-offs by Leeds Rhinos in Perpignan.
Several French Elite One stars have also been named by head coach Maxime Greseque.
League champions Carcassonne have two players named in the France B squad with Vincent Albert and Georgy Gambaro. Meanwhile Toulouse have five representatives from their set-up named in the 20-man team, including Hugo Pezet and Maxime Stefani.
The side will take on England Knights in Merignac on October 1, before Paul Anderson’s side face Scotland ahead of the World Cup tournament.
The clash may provide players one final push to make Laurent Frayssinous’ 24-man France squad for this year’s World Cup in England. France will feature in Group A alongside England, Samoa and Greece. They will meet Tonga in a warm-up match in Halifax on October 8, a week before England kick-off the tournament against Samoa in Newcastle.
