Leigh confirm eye-catching new signings including Zak Hardaker, Jack Hughes & Ricky Leutele
After confirming their rebranding to Leigh Leopards for 2023, the promoted side have confirmed a handful of new signings including Zak Hardaker, Jack Hughes and Ricky Leutele.
Tom Briscoe, Jacob Gannon, Oliver Holmes, Gareth O’Brien, Matt Davis, Robbie Mulhern and Nathan Wilde have also signed, taking the amount to 10 new signings for 2023.
A total of five from the Halliwell Jones Stadium are making the switch. Holmes, 30, makes the switch after just season season at Warrington.
All new signings have agreed a two-year deal, apart from Wilde, who has joined on for 2023.
Zak Hardaker on Leigh move
“Me and Lammy (Adrian Lam) have had a real good friendship ever since Wigan,” Hardaker said. “He’s always been a guy that wants to check up on you, which goes a long way in this game.
“I think Lammy being here, the vision of the new logo, the Leopards, Leigh being back in Super League, the quality of players that they’ve already got. Personally, I want to be top four, get to a Grand Final and win something. I wouldn’t come here if I didn’t think that.”
As revealed previously by Love Rugby League, Nene Macdonald has also been re-signed for the next campaign.
