Cameron Munster on Super League move

Australia and Melbourne Storm star Cameron Munster says he is open to a move to Super League in the future. (Examiner Live)

Munster, 28, recently signed a new four-year deal with the club, keeping him with the Storm until the end of 2027. He has been a part of Australia’s World Cup squad this year, and looks set to feature in the World Cup final this Saturday.

Leeds recruitment update

Head coach Rohan Smith confirmed to the Yorkshire Evening Post of his intentions of adding one more to his squad, with Leigh’s Nene MacDonald linked with the club.

Featherstone confirm another departure

Featherstone Rovers have confirmed the departure of Loui McConnell ahead of the 2023 Championship season. The 1895 Cup winner has signed with Doncaster for next season.

The League 1 outfit has also confirmed the signing of Elliot Hall from Bradford. 

Swinton snap up Wales World Cup star

Wales international Gavin Bennion has re-joined Swinton Lions for the 2023 season.

The 28-year-old former Super League forward returns from Rochdale, where he made the switch ahead of the 2021 season. He featured for John Kear’s Wales during the 2021 World Cup, making two appearances.

Gregg McNally to play on in 2023

Former Leigh and Bradford full-back Gregg McNally will play on in 2023 after signing with Oldham from Rochdale Hornets.

The Ireland international featured for the club on dual-registration from Huddersfield in 2010.

Sinfield sets off

Kevin Sinfield is underway in his Ultra 7 in 7 challenge in aid of Motor Neurone Disease. The former Leeds captain ran 40 miles on Sunday from Murrayfield to Melrose rugby club in the Scottish Borders.

Sinfield, 42, plans to run a similar distance for seven consecutive days en route to Old Trafford in Manchester in a bid to raise £777,777 for five MND charities.

NRL Premiership winning half-back and Australia star Nathan Cleary turns 25 today (November 14).

Also celebrating; Ex-Super League forward Matt Cook (36), Castleford winger Greg Eden (32), Cook Islands international Paul Ulberg (27), Hunslet’s Jordan Syme (26) and England Knights representative Matty English (25).
