Luke Hooley reacts to injury blow
New Leeds recruit Luke Hooley has taken to social media following the confirmation that he will miss the start of the new season due to injury.
The full-back makes the step up to Super League on a two-year deal from Batley. However, he underwent surgery last week and is expected to be sidelined for up to 12 weeks.

Umyla Hanley on train and trail deal
Wigan youngster Umyla Hanley is currently on a train and trail deal with Leigh after being spotted at the club’s pre-season training. (Yorkshire Live)
The 2o-year-old full-back was spotted on Leigh’s social media as the club prepare for their return to Super League. However, it has been reported by Examiner Live that the youngster is on a train and trail deal.
Wigan youngster on the move
Rochdale Hornets have signed Wigan youngster Toby Brannan for their 2023 League 1 campaign.
He said: “I had a few clubs interested in me but the idea of coming to Rochdale, with what we are trying to achieve, really excites me.”
