Thaiday out of Four Nations final
Sam Thaiday will miss the Four Nations final on Sunday after breaking his cheekbone and eye socket in the win over England.
Thaiday clashed heads with the granite melon of James Graham in Australia‘s 18-point victory.
He is undergoing surgery today and will be unavailable against New Zealand.
Shannon Boyd and Jake Trbojevic are the main contenders to replace Thaiday on the Kangaroos bench.
Canberra prop Boyd is in the box seat to come in, after Australian coach Mal Meninga said the forward was unlucky not to play against England.
