Full fixture list for the 2023 Women’s Super League season
Here is a full fixture list for the 2023 Women’s Super League season.
Leeds will launch their defence of the Women’s Super League with a repeat of the 2022 Grand Final against York at Headingley on Easter Sunday (April 9).
The match will be the first part of a double-header, with the Rhinos men taking on Huddersfield at 6pm.
That is stand-alone opening fixture for the Women’s Super League season, with the other 10 clubs kicking off on Sunday, April 16. York have another heavyweight clash against St Helens, who are the Challenge Cup holders.
Other highlights of that round will see Warrington make their debut in Group 1 with a derby against Wigan.
There will be away matches for the two newcomers in Group 2 – Salford travel to Castleford, with Leigh facing Bradford at Odsal.
There will be an international window on April 29, with England taking on France at Warrington.
The group stage of the Women’s Challenge Cup will then take centre stage for a month before the Women’s Super League returns on Friday, May 26.
Also that weekend, York will face Warrington as part of the Championship’s Summer Bash at the LNER Community Stadium.
The last round of regular season games is on the weekend of September 8-10, after which the top four of Group 1 will contest semi-finals leading to the Grand Final on the weekend of October 7-8.
The team who finishes top of Group 2 will secure automatic promotion to the expanded eight-team Women’s Super League in 2024. Play-offs will determine the second promoted team.
