Locke lands in Queensland Cup
Kevin Locke has left Manly and signed with Queensland Cup side the Sunshine Coast Falcons.
Locke had been trialing with the Sea Eagles, but has linked with the Falcons.
Sunshie coach Craig Ingebrigtsen is excited to have the former Salford and Wakefield fullback in his team.
“He’s just got raw speed, there’s no one quicker that Kevin Locke,” Ingebrigtsen told the Noosa News.
“They (Manly) said if he had a full pre-season he may get there and they said talent wise he’s outstanding but they don’t think his body is ready.
“He’s a top-end player and we know he wants to be an NRL player so by June 30, if he’s playing good footy, there’s going to be (NRL) clubs trying to take him off us and that’s great.”
