Former Keighley man Ross Peltier is excited by the prospect of facing his old side when Bradford take on the Cougars this weekend.

The Bulls second pre-season encounter will act as final preparation before the start of their Championship campaign when they travel to Hull KR.

Peltier left the Cougars at the end of last season and moved to a club he has supported all his life.

Peltier was awarded the Bradford Bulls Supporters Groups’ Man of the Match on his debut during the defeat to Huddersfield.

The 24-year old admitted he has a lot of respect for the Cougars but will be fired up to get the victory when the two sides meet.

“I really enjoyed my time with Keighley and it was a great experience, they got me to the position that I am in today,” he said.

“I’m ecstatic to have signed for the club, although it’s going to be strange going back to Cougar Park in a few day’s time”.

“I owe that club everything, although when it comes to the game on Sunday, it’s strictly business”.

Peltier also explained how it was important to have these testing encounters against the likes of Huddersfield and Keighley so they are fully prepared come round one of the new season.

“Pre-season has been a great opportunity for us to bond as a team,” he said.

“Now with such a young, fresh unit, it is important that we have these games to really put us to the test and to have us ready for the start of the season”.
