Barba: I might never play NRL again

Ben Barba says he may have played his last game in the NRL ever after securing a cross-code move to French rugby.

Barba has signed for Toulon until May.

Barba has to serve a 12-week suspension for a cocaine positive test and the NRL is taking a hardline approach to the fullback.

He may have to serve the ban in France and asked about that possibility, Barba said he might never play rugby league again.

“The NRL hasn’t given me much, if it comes to that I might never play the game again,” he told Fox Sports.

“So I’ll just go from there and listen to the guys that take care of me and we’ll make the decision at the end of the day.

“They’ve had quite a while to sort my stuff out. It’s taken them three months and nothing’s been sorted out.

“As I said I’ve just gone along with the flow and listened to the guys that take care of me.”
